Lessons from a New Born
On December 20th, I became a father for the first time. Aimee Marie Page was born and it was an amazing, indescribable moment. I contacted family and friends to share our news, and we all celebrated together. It is a day I will remember for a long time. Since that day, there has been pretty much a constant party as people join us in this wonderful time. When my daughter was born, and I heard that little voice cry for the first time I was filled with a joy that overwhelmed me.
And amazingly, the joy and celebration that we experienced pales in comparison to the joy and celebration that fills heaven when one person asks Christ to come into their life.
How exciting it is to serve our God and to see lives changed as people yield to Him. As Christians, we have a role to play in living our lives to point others toward Him and the celebration that occurs when they accept Him is beyond our comprehension.
Likewise, I am relearning the obvious. Our daughter was born, now it is our role to protect her, feed her and help her to live in an environment that encourages growth and health. Likewise, we are not to point people to the Kingdom only to abandon them after that. We are to stay active in their lives, and work out our faiths together. Life is an adventure and an exciting, one at that. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

As a father of two lovely daughters ages 18 and 23, I can assure you the lessons never end. You’ll find raising children to be one of the most trying, rewarding and profound experiences life has to offer.
Best wishes!
